Andrew looped Epstein into ‘confidential’ memo on investment opportunities in Afghanistan weeks after he claimed to have ended friendship

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor informed Jeffrey Epstein of investment opportunities in Afghanistan in a ‘confidential’ memo, weeks after he claimed to have ended his relationship with the pedophile financier.
In the latest tranche of documents released by the US justice department, emails revealed Andrew told the financier he would be “very interested” in his “comments, views or ideas” and asked “to whom I could point this out in a useful way to attract attention”.
The former prince sent the briefing prepared by the British-led Helmand Province Reconstruction Team to Epstein
The email was sent at the height of the war against the Taliban on Christmas Eve 2010, just weeks after Andrew visited Epstein at his £60 million Manhattan home.
The former Duke of York later said in a car crash interview on BBC Newsnight that the trip to New York was used to end his friendship with Epstein because it was honorable and the right thing to do.
Andrew’s visit to the home of his billionaire pedophile friend came 17 months after he was released from prison for child sex offences.
Telegram It was reported that Andrew obtained the Afghanistan document titled ‘Helmand Investment Opportunities Summary Final.doc’ during his time as the UK’s trade envoy.
His tenure as British trade envoy ended in 2011 when he was forced to resign after a photo emerged of him and Epstein walking together in New York’s Central Park.
Sir Keir Starmer last night called on Andrew to testify before the US Congress after disturbing photos of the former prince emerged in the latest Epstein files.

The Prime Minister said the disgraced Andrew had a duty to Epstein’s victims as further damaging material emerged from the expose.
Sir Keir said victims ‘must be a top priority’ and ‘anyone with information should be prepared to share the information in whatever form they are asked’.
He added that a ‘victim-centred’ approach was why Andrew should co-operate fully and provide information ‘in whatever form’ he is asked to do so.
The comments came after footage was released showing Andrew kneeling over an unidentified woman.
The photos form part of more than three million documents released by the US Department of Justice on Friday.
As he arrived in Japan for the final leg of his East Asia visit, Sir Keir was asked whether Andrew should apologize and give evidence to Congress about the Epstein investigation.
The Prime Minister responded: ‘First of all, I always approach this question with Epstein’s victims in mind. Epstein’s victims should be the top priority.
‘Whether there is an apology or not is Andrew’s business.

‘But yes, in terms of giving evidence, I’ve always said that anyone with information should be prepared to share that information, no matter what is asked of them, because you can’t be victim-centred if you’re not prepared to do that.
Andrew also sent photos of his daughters Eugenie and Beatrice to Epstein at Christmas.
In two holiday emails sent in 2011 and 2012, the king’s 65-year-old brother included a series of photographs of the sisters in files released by the US Department of Justice.
The pictures were sent when Eugenie was 21 and 22 and Beatrice was 23 and 24, after the disgraced financier was convicted in 2008 of procuring children for prostitution.
The intimate family photos were sent two years after the former prince previously claimed he had cut off all contact with the pedophile.
His image as a passionate father figure who proudly flaunts his daughters’ achievements contrasts sharply with the secret life he and his ex-wife Sarah lead behind closed doors, shoulder to shoulder with the rich and powerful.
The emails were released by the US government on Friday as part of a tranche of nearly three million documents related to Epstein and were just some of the embarrassing content for the former Duke and Duchess of York.
Royal expert Jennie Bond said the latest revelations had left Beatrice and Eugenie in ‘difficult times’; The sisters struggle to cope with the increasingly humiliating position of their father, who is ostracized from the royal family.
