Man jailed after scalding police officer with boiling hot cooking oil | News

A taxi driver poured hot cooking oil on a police officer before barricading himself in his garage.
Footage shared by Northumbria Police on Tuesday, October 21, shows officers entering the kitchen of Mohammed Sarfaraz’s home with stun guns drawn on January 17.
PC Christopher Bain suffered painful burns after Sarafaz threw oil he had heated in a pan at two police officers.
Sarfaraz then barricaded himself in the garage and officers used a battering ram to force entry. He was later Tasered and arrested.
Sarfaraz, of Park Road, Kingston, repeatedly denied the attack but was found guilty at a hearing on Monday (October 20). He has been in prison for nine years.
