Man kills 78-year-old mother over property dispute in Hubballi

A 60-year-old man, who brutally murdered his elderly mother over a property dispute, was arrested by Vidyanagar Police Station Police in Hubballi.
On November 6, Superintendent of Police N. Shashikumar told media persons that the accused Ashok Mulakhod (60) was unhappy because his mother Ningavva Mulakhod (78), a resident of Brahmagiri Colony, gave his jewelery to her daughters.
The old woman had a small residential plot in her name. Ashok was pressuring him to hand over the plot to him. However, his mother was reluctant about this. Ashok said that he attacked his mother with a wooden plank with nails in it.
The police first detained the deceased woman’s husband and son for questioning, and then arrested her son. The accused is a former employee of Hubballi Dharwad Municipal Corporation.
