Man missing for two weeks tragically found dead on UK beach | UK | News

A body has been found following a desperate search for a missing Glasgow man who disappeared more than two weeks ago. The gruesome discovery was made on a beach in Dunoon, Argyll’s largest town, while searching for Ryan Welsh on October 20.
The 27-year-old man from Milton was reported missing by his family after they had not heard from him since Friday, October 3. The last official sighting of Mr Welsh was at Glasgow Royal Infirmary in the early hours of Sunday, October 5. His disappearance prompted his uncle and his partner Claire to launch an urgent missing persons appeal.
But tragedy struck after Police Scotland said a body was found on Marine Parade beach in Dunoon on October 21 and Mr Welsh’s family were notified.
The discovery took place around 12.40pm on Monday, October 20th. Police said formal identification had not yet been made but Mr Welsh’s family had been informed.
Detectives are treating his death as “unexplained.”
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 12.40pm on Monday 20 October 2025, the body of a man was found on Marine Parade beach in Dunoon.
“Official identification has not yet been made, but the family of missing person Ryan Welsh has been notified.
“The cause of his death is treated as if it cannot be explained.”
