Man sexually assaulted by another man who ‘winked’ at him at lake | UK | News

Police have launched an emergency appeal for witnesses after a man was sexually assaulted by another man at a popular lake. A man was reportedly sitting on a bench at Gloucester Boating Lake when a man approached and sat next to him.
Gloucestershire Police said the victim stated the suspect then “winked” at her, made a sexually explicit comment and “touched her thigh” before leaving when asked. The alleged horrific incident occurred between 12.50pm and 1.20pm on 25 November.
According to police, the suspect is a white male in his twenties, approximately six feet tall. Witnesses described him as having dark, brownish hair, cut short on the sides above the ears and left longer on top.
He was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident, which may have made him less noticeable in low light conditions. Police said the man was also wearing distinctive black sneakers with white stripes.
Investigators are relying on this description to piece together his movements and are urging anyone who may have seen someone matching these characteristics to come forward with information.
Police said: “Inquiries are ongoing and investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time to contact them.”
