11-Year-Old Dies by Suicide in Faridabad After Taking Rs 100 Without Telling Mother

Faridabad: An 11-year-old boy allegedly hanged himself at his home here after his mother scolded him for taking Rs 100 without informing anyone, police said on Sunday.

Allegedly, his mother said that she would tell his father about the situation. They said that the boy, terrified by this, went to the terrace of the house in Chhainsa village and died by committing suicide by hanging himself.

Later, when the mother searched the house, he was nowhere to be seen. He found his son hanging from a rope on the terrace. He raised the alarm and some neighbors gathered and took the child to a nearby hospital.

After the examination, doctors determined that the child was dead and said that the child was hung for about 15-20 minutes, which led to his death.

“After autopsy, we handed over the body to our relatives. The deceased was the youngest of four siblings… Further investigation is on,” a senior police officer said.
