Manchester airport flight delays after easyJet planes ‘clip wings’ on runway

Passengers traveling from Manchester Airport are delayed this morning after two Easyjet aircraft wings during the taxi.
From Manchester to Gibraltar and Ezy2117, from Manchester to Paris Charles de Gaulle, the Easyjet flight ezy2267.
After the wing tips of the two aircraft collided, all flights are short at the airport and delays are expected to continue throughout the day.
Manchester Airport works as usual after a short security assessment of damaged aircraft.

No injury was reported by passengers.
An Easyjet spokesman said: “Easyjet can confirm that the wing ends of the two aircrafts are contacted when making a taxi on the runway in Manchester Airport this morning.
“Aircraft, renovation coupons, customers, spare planes are arranged to run flights.
“We apologize to customers for the delay of flights. The safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority.”
The airline added that an investigation was initiated immediately to understand how the incident was.
Accordingly FlightFlights from the airport currently have an average 48 -minute delay.
