“The domino effect of conflict in West Asia is now disrupting business Rajeev Jayadevan, former president of the Cochin chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), said: “Unfortunately, this affects the most vulnerable the most; even slight increases in prices can lead to a decline in contraceptive use, especially among socioeconomically disadvantaged groups. The after-effects include unplanned pregnancies, increased maternal and infant mortality and rebound of STIs (sexually transmitted infections).”
