New betting and vape shops could be blocked under new community powers

Local communities will be given new powers to protect local bars and libraries as part of a government driving to revive neglected high streets.
The new pride program program will prevent the opening of residents of unwanted betting stores, ferry stores and fake barbers.
Councils will be given the opportunity to transform derelict buildings and boarding shops under the right to purchase community and compulsory purchasing powers.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is expected to announce the initiative on Thursday, supported by “Plak Investment” for more than 330 communities.
“When people leave their front gates, they know that their communities are fighting.
“Yes, the communities are tense, but they did not give up. They are working hard to make things better and we support them.
“The government strengthens their hands, so the local people decide that they will be proud of their neighborhoods, not Westminster.
“This seems to be true patriotism: to create our communities and choose renovation on division.”
Projects consulting community groups, local organizations and social clubs will be funded.
Housing, Communities and Local Government, the program will cope with the radical deprivation and regional inequality, he said.
