Nandyal police recover nine tola gold jewellery worth lakhs after woman forgets bag in auto

Nandyal police traced and found a handbag containing gold jewelery forgotten in the car a few hours after the complaint was received.
Nandyal Circle Inspector G. Sudhakar Reddy said on Saturday, October 18, 2025, that they received a complaint from a resident of Nadigadda Shaik Rahiman that he had forgotten his wife’s handbag in the car while going from Nadigadda to Railway Station. Mr. Rahiman said the bag contained eight tolas of gold necklaces and one tola of other ornaments.
The police immediately examined the CCTV footage from the RTC bus stand and also the footage from the command control center and located the car in Viswa Nagar. The driver of the car was identified as Mabu Hussain and the bag was removed from the car. The bag was delivered to the complainant with its gold jewelery intact.
“The police received the complaint at around 18.30 on Friday, October 17, 2025, and the car was tracked and by 20:00 the handbag was delivered to the complainant,” the inspector said.
