India are likely to rest one or two players for their T20 World Cup Group A match against the Netherlands in Ahmedabad on Wednesday and the side has already secured a place in the Super 8 stage. Suryakumar Yadav-led India are also in a strong position to finish top of the group and can use this fixture to test their bench strength as they aim to remain unbeaten.

This will be only the second meeting between the two teams in the format. India had registered a 56-run win against the Netherlands in their previous encounter in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Sydney.

It was possible to rest Ishan Kishan and Kuldeep Yadav, who maintained their form in the tournament. This could create opportunities for Sanju Samson and Mohammed Siraj.
