Manly Sea Eagles beat Melbourne Storm to boost finals hopes
In a dramatic and fiery conflict in Aami Park, Melbourne stunned 18-16 and ended the storm’s six-game winning run.
Sea Eagles’ leadership was erased after two Xavier Coates attempt in less than 20 minutes ahead of 16-6 ahead.
But two minutes remained and when the scores were connected, the storm captain Harry Grant was punished for contacting Luke Brooks’s legs, and manly wand scored a goal.
Reuben Garrick did not make a mistake with a direct front kick to get two points.
In his first wins in Melbourne since 2019, Sea Eagles took advantage of a slow, sloppy start to establish its third straight victories.
For the second time this season, Melbourne received more than 12 points in the first half of the break in front of Manly’s 16-6.

Storm coach Craig Bellamy revealed a terrible circuit spray to his players after slow start.
