Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. and the liberal media are mutual enemies, but he drew praise Thursday from two unlikely places: CNN and “The View.”
“He seems to be the only one responding to his constituents, because his constituents are saying, ‘Excuse me, we’re affected by what’s going on here,’ and, you know, he’s not in a rich district. He’s in a poor district, and his people said it’s affecting us. Either get us some help, or we’re going to throw you out,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said Thursday. “He’s the voice of reason here, what’s going on?”
The meeting hosts discussed Greene’s call for Republicans and Democrats to put politics aside and reopen the government to side with Democrats on Obamacare subsidies, which liberal lawmakers are trying to expand.
Co-host Joy Behar also said, “I’ll take it.”

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said it was a “dark day” when Greene became the voice of reason.
“Go back to work. Deal with this with health care. I agree with Marjorie Taylor Greene. These are the Republicans and Democrats who need these subsidies,” he said.
Greene explained her stance in a post on social media.
“I will stand up to everyone on this issue because when the tax credits expire this year, my own adult children’s insurance premiums will DOUBLE in 2026, along with all the wonderful families and hard-working people in my district. No, I am not toeing the party line or playing loyalty games on this issue. I am a Republican and will not vote for illegals to allow taxpayers to fund health care or benefits,” he wrote. “WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE TOTALLY CRAZY COST OF INSURANCE FOR AMERICANS.”

The co-hosts invited Greene onto the show during the conversation.
CNN’s Wolf Blitzer praised Greene in an interview with the GOP lawmaker on Thursday.
Greene told CNN that the shutdown would not help Republicans.
“I don’t think it’s good advice that shutting down the government will help Republicans in the midterms. I disagree with that. I also don’t think Republicans ignoring the health insurance crisis is good advice for the midterms. In fact, I think that would be very bad for the midterms. And I don’t think it’s harmful to focus on America’s first policies,” Greene said.

The GOP lawmaker also noted his own experience with his adult children, saying the generation is pretty “hopeless” about their future.
Greene also talked about the Epstein documents and said she didn’t understand why they hadn’t come out.
“This includes women who were raped, women who were raped at age 14. And they say there were more people involved. I don’t know how anyone in conscience could be against this information being released. So I want to help in whatever way I can,” Greene said.
