Marjorie Taylor Greene says she’s had ‘warnings for my safety’ after posts by Trump | Marjorie Taylor Greene

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a longtime Republican ally who has previously fiercely defended Donald Trump and the Maga movement, said Saturday that she was contacted by private security firms “with warnings for my safety” after Trump announced Friday that he was withdrawing his support and endorsement of the Georgia representative.

Greene said, “The offensive rhetoric attacking me has historically led to death threats and multiple convictions of men radicalized by the same type of rhetoric now directed at me. This time by the President of the United States.” he said.

Greene did not state that she had received any threats against her from security firms, but said, “As a woman, I take threats from men seriously. I can now understand some of the fear and pressure that women who were victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his gang must feel.”

The post is the latest in an increasingly bitter war of words with Trump, primarily over the release of government-held documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, whom Greene supported. House Speaker Mike Johnson is expected to vote next week to decide whether to release all non-classified communications and documents.

“Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Green is a disgrace to OUR GREAT REPUBLICAN PARTY!” A day after his support for Greene ended, Trump raged on social media, calling her “Loon Marjorie” and saying he would support a challenger against her in the next midterm election “if the right person gets the nomination.”

Earlier Saturday, Greene posted: in x She said she never thought she would be in the position of “fighting to release the Epstein files, fighting to defend women who were victims of rape, and fighting to expose the network of rich, powerful elites would have caused this, but here we are.”

The dispute between Greene and Trump, which has been simmering for months, came to light when the once staunch Maga supporter found herself opposing Trump on a range of issues, including US military aid to Israel, a government shutdown and the so-called “Epstein files”.

This led Trump to accuse Greene of going “Far Left” for offering a range of dissenting views against the Maga mainstream. Trump said all he’s witnessed from Greene in recent months is “COMPLAIN, COMPLAINT, COMPLAINT!” He wrote that it was. He adds: “I cannot answer the call of a Madman who shouts every day.”

Greene said she supported Trump “with a lot of my precious time and my own money and fought harder for him even though nearly every other Republican turned their back on him and condemned him.” Greene added: “I do not worship or serve Donald Trump.”

Trump had previously engaged in heated battles with staunch political allies, including Elon Musk, but made amends after a cooling-off period. Like Musk, Greene’s newfound opposition appears to be rooted in what both see as a dilution of Trump’s “America first” political philosophy, including grappling with foreign peacemaking projects.

The trajectory of Greene’s dissatisfaction dates back to at least May, when she announced she would not run for the Senate seat and lashed out at Republican donors and advisers who feared she wouldn’t win. He later said he would not run for governor of Georgia and attacked the state’s political “good boy” system.

In June, he sided with Maga opponents, including Tucker Carlson, over possible U.S. efforts at regime change in Iran.

But as controversy over the Epstein files has heated up in recent months, he has spoken out against the administration’s reluctance to fully release the documents and videos. In September, he said he wanted to expose the “Epstein rape and pedophile network” and asked people to remember that he was “not suicidal” if something happened to him.

Earlier this month, Greene harshly criticized her party during an appearance on The View, calling the Republican-controlled Congress “an embarrassment” for not being in session for more than a month and saying she was “really tired of the pissing contest between men in Washington, D.C.”

When asked if she planned to become a Democrat, she said both political parties had failed and called for women to step in and lead the country. “Our red-white-blue flag is about to be torn apart,” he said. “And I think it takes mature women to put these things back together.”
