On Wednesday, Mark Zuckerberg introduced the Social Media Company’s first-ready smart glasses, the first consumer with a settled screen.
Glasses, which cost $ 799, contain a small digital display that can be controlled by hand gestures by confirming a CNBC report in August. The promotional video of the new smart glasses appeared on Monday on Meta’s Youtube page, but later removed.
On Thursday at 11:00, Meat: Meta Head Product Officer Chris Cox joined CNBC TV to discuss the important points of Julia Boorstin and Meta’s annual connect event.
The new smart glasses are a bridge between the company’s only voice Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses and the company’s experimental orion’s last year’s Connect event. Orion can cover 3D images on a person’s real world viewing area with the help of a wireless information process disk, but glasses are expensive and are not yet available for consumers.
Meta Ray-Ban screen glasses come with the meta neural band, an EMG bracelet that allows users to control the device using hand gestures.
“These are the classic glasses you expect from Ray-Ban, but the first AI glasses with a high-resolution display and a completely weighted meta nerve band.” He said.
Zuckerberg said he could see and respond to new glasses, video watching or text messages on the screen. The screen does not prevent a person’s opinion and said it was lost when not used.
Glasses are on sale in the United States on 30 September.
During a demo, Zuckerberg has repeatedly tried to call the META Technology Chief Andrew Bosworth unsuccessful.
“This uh – you know, it’s happening,” Zuckerberg said.
Meta has been developing her smart glasses with glasses giant Essilorluxoticica since 2019 and last year renovated A long -term partnership agreement to continue to make products.
On Wednesday, the company launched Oakley Meta Vanguard Smart Glasses for athletes participating in high -density sports such as snowboarding and mountain bikes. Oakley branded glasses will cost $ 499 when they are released on October 21, which will be $ 100 more expensive than Oakley Meta Hstn glasses offered for sale in June.
Oakley Meta Vanguard smart glasses have a more sporty look than Oakley Meta Hstn glasses thanks to a wrapping design that expands color lenses to a person’s temples. Unlike Oakley Meta Hstn glasses, it contains a button at the bottom of the new model frames, so that athletes wearing helmets can easily catch photos and videos.
New sports -centered smart glasses have a battery life of up to nine hours, capturing 3K videos and contain loud speakers than before. Glasses can connect with Garmin branded fitness watches to monitor certain statistics such as heartbeat using the Meta AI assistant. Pre -orders start today.
Meta also introduced the latest version of the company’s original smart glasses, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2). Ray-Ban META (Gen 2) costs $ 299 for $ 379 for the released in 2023. Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) doubles the battery life of the previous model, takes 8 hours on a single charge and has a stronger camera that can capture the 3K Ultra HD video. New glasses are on sale today.
