Married at First Sight UK stars Keye Luke and Davide Anica have split, the Daily Mail has revealed.

The gay couple, who are considered the strongest couple in this year’s series, made a promise to each other during the Last Vow ceremony of the season.

But insiders say they have now gone their separate ways, which is likely to shock fans of the E4 dating show.

Marketing executive Keye, 33, and flight attendant Davide, 34, encountered only one major problem during filming: a disastrous trip to a cat cafe during Davide’s stay at home.

Keye, overwhelmed by the number of cats, rushed out and spent the night in a hotel rather than at Davide’s home in Horsham, West Sussex.

The pair patched things up and remained together for the remainder of the series, often talking about their hopes for a long-term relationship off-screen. However, they have now pulled the plug on their love.

An insider told the Daily Mail: ‘Keye and Davide have ended the relationship.

‘They had high hopes that it would work but it wasn’t the same outside the MAFS bubble. But they still gave it a good shot.

‘Davide spends a lot of his time abroad on business and Keye has big business in London, so it’s never going to be easy.’

The couple created a strong bond from the moment they met at their televised wedding, gaining a lot of attention from viewers.

When Keye nervously admitted that he had been married before, Davide quickly eased his anxiety by understanding his past relationship.

The duo were also popular with other couples, often offering a shoulder to cry on for their co-stars who were struggling with married life.

Their journey created many viral moments, including Keye mocking Davide for having a Greggs in his hometown of Horsham and boasting that his local bakery was Gail’s.

Keye said she ‘never loved anyone as much as she loved Davide’ and added that her husband ‘made me feel like I was good enough’. There is a beautiful future waiting for us.’

Writing on Instagram in tribute to the show’s final dinner party, which aired on Thursday, Davide hinted at his concerns about life after filming.

She wrote: ‘Honestly, after all this, my only fear was life and I was wondering if I’d still be good enough for Keye when the cameras stopped rolling. But if this journey has taught me anything, it’s that no matter the outcome, I’m strong, I’ve always been myself and that’s all I want to be.’

The duo, who do not follow each other on social media, have remained silent on their accounts and have not appeared in any video content since the series ended.

By the time the final meeting with the experts is broadcast this Sunday, Keye and Davide will have already separated.
