Married couple ‘didn’t know how to get pregnant’

A couple couldn’t get pregnant for four years because they didn’t know how to have sex.
A married couple in their 20s, whose names have not been released to protect their privacy, failed in their efforts to have a baby because they didn’t actually know how to have sex, a medical expert has revealed.
“The couple was very young; the man was 26 and the woman was 24. They were very healthy, but they could not get pregnant even though they had been married for four years,” obstetrician Liu Hongmei told China’s Guiyang Evening Post.
The married couple regularly had ‘affairs’ and faced external pressures from their loved ones to start a family. But their efforts to get pregnant failed because they didn’t actually know what they were doing in the bedroom.
Hongmei said: “Their families were causing them a lot of stress because of this.”
The obstetrician initially looked at the couple’s medical history to determine if there were any health reasons why they were having trouble getting pregnant.
The woman’s description of her sexual experiences as “unusually painful” led the medical professional to suspect that she might be suffering from some type of gynecological condition.
However, Hongmei was shocked to find out that his wife was actually a virgin and the couple did not know how to have sex.
As a result, Hongmei provided the duo with a sex education manual in the hope that it would help them get pregnant.
Hongmei said: “Four years of marriage and neither husband or wife knew how to get pregnant. Couples so lacking in general knowledge are very rare.
“But it’s not uncommon for people to lack or have misconceptions about sexual knowledge.”
And Hongmei’s approach was ultimately successful; The couple managed to get pregnant a few months after being given a sex education manual by their obstetrician.
