Portugal says it will recognise Palestinian state

Portugal said he would recognize a Palestinian state on Sunday and that he would make the last Western nation prepared to change the policy because the war in the Gaza Strip did not show a sign of stopping.
The Foreign Ministry made the announcement before the United Nations General Assembly in New York (UNGA) next week.
France, England, Canada and Australia are preparing similar announcements.
The Israeli movement condemned, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Hamas’s Israeli attack on October 7, 2023, “rewarding terror,” he said.
The US – Israel’s main ally – reiterated the argument of Netanyahu.
President Donald Trump said that this week, while talking to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer this week, he did not agree with recognition during a state visit to England.
About three quarters of 193 members of the UN already recognize a Palestinian state, which was given the status of the observer state that is not a member in 2012.
While world leaders are preparing to meet at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, Israeli tanks and troops continue to move to Gaza as part of a land attack that forces thousands of people to escape.
The Israeli Army launched a campaign in Gaza in 2023, in response to the attack on Hamas against Southern Israel, and about 1,200 people were killed and 251 people were hostage.
According to the region’s Ministry of Health, at least 65,141 people have died in Israeli attacks in Gaza since then.
