The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said Friday (October 31) that it had foiled a potential terrorist attack reportedly planned for Halloween weekend in Michigan. FBI Director Kash Patel stated that many suspects were detained during a coordinated operation.

Patel praised federal and local law enforcement teams for their quick response, emphasizing that their vigilance helped prevent what could have been a major act of violence. However, the FBI has not yet released details of the individuals or the nature of the conspiracy.

“This morning the FBI foiled a possible terrorist attack and arrested multiple individuals who allegedly planned a violent attack over Halloween weekend in Michigan. More details to come,” Patel wrote in his post about ‘X’, adding: “Thanks to the men and women of the FBI and law enforcement everywhere who are on guard 24/7 and disrupting our mission to defend the homeland.”

Meanwhile, the Dearborn Police Department also posted on Facebook: “The Dearborn Police Department has been notified that the FBI was conducting operations in the City of Dearborn early this morning. We want to reassure our residents that there is no threat to the community at this time.”
