MasterChef India Season 9 Winner: Who are Vikram and Ajinkya Gandhe, the Nagpur brothers who lifted the trophy

Season Winners and Runners Up
While Vikram and Ajinkya clinched the winner’s title, Odisha-based sister duo Anju and Manju emerged as the first runners-up. Meanwhile, Sai Sri and his mother Chandana completed their journey in second place.
The winning duo also received a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh along with the Golden Chef Jacket. While Anju and Manju, who stood first, were rewarded with around 15 lakh rupees, Sai Sri and Chandana returned home with around 5 lakh rupees.
The Journey of the Winning Brothers
The Gandhe brothers consistently stood out as strong competitors throughout the competition. Before joining the show, they were already involved in the culinary space through their cafe in Nagpur.
Younger brother Ajinkya is an architect by profession. He opened his first cafe in Goa when he was only 24 years old. Recently, she and Vikram opened a cafe called Place in Nagpur. Vikram’s journey in the food business started much earlier. He started cooking professionally by opening a small canteen at the age of 19, and this gradually shaped his culinary path.
A Unique “Jodi” Format This Season
The ninth season of MasterChef India premiered in January and introduced the jodi format for the first time. This format allowed family members or partners to compete together as a team.
Famous Jury and Challenging Competition
The reviews of the season were made by famous chefs Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and Kunal Kapur.
Throughout the season, contestants faced a series of challenging challenges, from mystery box missions to intense elimination rounds. These tests challenged participants to reinterpret traditional Indian flavors with modern culinary techniques, ultimately narrowing the competition to the three strongest finalists.
