Matt Beard: Former Liverpool boss found hanged, says coroner

Former Liverpool Female Director Matt Beard was found in his house, a Coroner Court was told for a hearing.

Coroner John Griffiths, at a hearing in Ruthin on Monday, said that medical officials were called to Beard’s house in Deeside in Fintshire before being hospitalized.

47 -year -old Beard died in the hospital at 21:15 on September 20. The hearing was postponed for a complete investigation at a later date.

Beard took Liverpool in 2013 and 2014 to WSL headlines.

He returned to a second spell in the club in 2021, but was dismissed in February this year.

Beard’s last role was in Burnley, where he resigned in June after he was only responsible for two months.

It has been a support from the game since his death.

On Sunday, September 21, he praised a one -minute silence Sakal before he started all WSL and WSL2 games. Liverpool’s match against Aston Villa was postponed.

Manchester United director Marc Skinner Beard described the “icon”, and the legend of England Fara Williams said Beard has “some species and purest souls”.

A donation to support his family organized by journalist Jacqui Oatley collected more than £ 50,000.
