Matt Canavan declares ‘conflict of interest’ in Senate committee

Nationals Senator Matt Canavan this week disclosed what he described as a “conflict of interest” to the Senate climate misinformation committee.

Page Research Center (PRC) chief executive Gerard Holland was invited before the committee to give evidence on the various factors leading to misinformation about climate change, and in his opening statement he said the debate on energy was “not as strong as it should be” and that “not enough airtime is given, particularly by our public broadcaster and other prominent voices in the media, which is often relegated to Sky News and your more tabloid type organisations”.
