Maura Higgins has reignited her feud with Olivia Attwood with yet another copycat career move, the Daily Mail has revealed.

The pair’s split first came to light during last year’s stint on the I’m A Celeb jungle, where Maura claimed she scrubbed the toilet with her ex-boyfriend’s toothbrush in revenge; she had previously linked this story to her breakup with Curtis Pritchard.

Sources revealed last November that Maura, 34, was seen trying to follow a ‘similar script’ to boost her appeal, mirroring the path she took after signing up for Love Island in 2017 following her split from Bradley Dack over Olivia’s infidelity.

Tensions between the two escalated further when they were both signed to the same PR agency Dundas Communications, famous for looking after clients such as Billie Piper, Emma Willis, Dermot O’Leary, and when they were lined up for similar work the dynamic became awkward, prompting Olivia, who worked with the agency first, to take action.

Surprisingly, 10 months after Olivia, 34, joined Align, a new PR agency specializing in career development in America, Maura followed suit by signing with the same company.

Sources say the relationship between the former Love Island stars has never been this bad, with some confusion over how history is repeating itself less than a year after the initial PR crisis.

The pair first became involved during Maura’s stint in the I’m A Celeb jungle last year, when Olivia took to Instagram to express her disappointment at claims an unnamed star was trying to ‘hire all the same people’.

The pair attended the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday evening, with Maura turning heads in a black lace dress that showed off her slim figure.

A source said: ‘There have been a number of incidents over the last year that have led friends to believe Maura is trying to emulate Olivia’s career.

There were many parallels from ‘Love Island’ to I’m A Celeb and signing with the same agencies, which started to create friction.

‘Eventually Olivia left PR firm Dundas, despite having signed with them before Maura joined, because she wanted space to build her brand without any overlap.

Everyone is a little disturbed that Maura is once again pursuing Olivia by signing a contract with PR Align, months after Olivia became one of her clients.

‘Tensions are at an all-time high right now… there are hundreds of PR firms, but Maura and her team have chosen the firm Olivia works with for the second time.’

But Olivia was the first to appear on both shows, despite having to leave the jungle early for medical reasons.

The Daily Mail understands Maura chose to sign with Align due to her growing work in America, including an upcoming appearance in The Traitors US.

He also has an international following thanks to his hosting role on Love Island: The Games and his previous role as host on Love Island USA spin-off show Aftersun.

It appears that signing a deal with an American PR agency is central to her career, as she wants to continue to base much of her work in America.

Olivia hinted at her anger at Maura on Instagram last November, writing: ‘One day I’m going to write a book and write about some of the things (zip emoji) that I’ve managed to retain over the years. The curse will blow your mind.

‘You can try hiring all the same people, rehash my stories as your own, study the playbook, follow the recipe and all, but it will *never* taste the same. This is everything.’

Loose Women star Olivia, described as ITV’s ‘face of the future’, found fame on Love Island in 2017, two years before Maura.

She became the first former Islander to star on I’m A Celeb in 2022 but had to leave the jungle after 24 hours due to medical reasons.

The Daily Mail understands Maura chose to sign with Align due to her growing work in the US, including an upcoming appearance in The Traitors US.

Meanwhile, Maura appeared in the woods last year alongside campmates Danny Jones, Oti Mabuse and Reverend Richard Coles.

Olivia hosts her own dating series, Bad Boyfriends, and continues to film docuseries, including Getting Filthy Rich and The Price of Perfection.

Her podcast, So Wrong It’s Right, has featured guests such as Chelsea Handler, Frankie Bridge and Jodie Kidd.

While Olivia has a loyal following with 2.5 million Instagram followers, Maura surpasses her with 4 million followers.

Maura has gained a huge global fan base as the social host of Love Island US and Aftersun.
