Emily Blunt has revealed she never expected to become an actress after a bad stammer left her feeling ‘completely unachievable’.
The 42-year-old actor admitted that he was a ‘shy kid’ growing up and had difficulty speaking while growing up. Mirror.
He explained that he believed a job that required a lot of talking was ‘unattainable’ for him due to his ‘bad stutter’.
Emily told the publication: ‘I was quite a shy child. I had a really bad stutter so I couldn’t speak that easily.
‘So getting a job where I would have to talk was completely out of reach for me.’
This may come as a shock to her fans, as she has had a very successful career in acting, having starred in The Devil Wears Prada, A Quiet Place, and The Smashing Machine.

His confession came after he branded AI-created actress Tilly Norwood ‘terrible’ and begged talent agencies not to sign her.
AI talent studio Xicoia created the digital artist, a young brunette actress, with Eline Van der Velden introducing the project at the Zurich Film Festival.
Tilly began attracting interest from talent agents and Smashing Machine actress Emily admitted she was terrified at the prospect.
Emily said she was shown a report on Tilly Diversity: ‘Does this disappoint me? I don’t know how to answer this other than to say how scary this is.
‘No, are you serious? Is this an artificial intelligence? Oh my God, we are devastated. This is really scary.
‘Come on agencies, don’t do this. Please stop. Please stop taking away our human connection.’
Emily was told Tilly was designed to look like a combination of familiar stars and that she was designed to be the ‘new Scarlett Johansson’.

Scream actress Melissa Barrera branded Tilly’s arrival ‘disgusting’ and shared an Instagram Story about the news.
He captioned it: ‘I hope all the actors represented by the agent who did this give up their money. How disgusting, read the room.(sic)’
