McCain Australia: Urgent recall for McCain’s 400g Cheese & Bacon Pizza Pockets sold at Woolworths, Coles

A popular frozen snack has been removed from supermarket shelves after an unsuspecting consumer found plastic and metal in his food.

McCain Australia announced an immediate nationwide recall of 400g Cheese and Bacon Pizza Pockets upon notification of the discovery.

The popular pizza snack was sold nationally and online at Woolworths, Coles and independent retailers including IGA.

Microwavable pizza bags should not be eaten; Instead, it can be returned to the supermarket from which it was purchased for a full refund.

McCain party numbers recalled

Consumers are told to opt for 400-gram packs with batch code “1005481714” and expiration dates marked “October 2026 289”, “October 2026 290” and “October 2026 291”.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand warned that consuming the product could cause injury or illness.

“All consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” they said in a statement.
