Urgent recall issued for popular ice lolly over ‘life threatening risk | UK | News

A popular Ice Lolly was recalled from the UK supermarkets because of concerns that it might pose a life -threatening risk for customers. Wall’s mini milk vanilla strawberries and chocolate ice cream Lollies withdrawn from the shelves.
Unilever had to attract the product after exhibiting Spanish materials instead of English. The affected Lollies contain milk and may also contain pistachios, peanuts and soy. This allergens are not explicitly transmitted on the packaging in English, which led to a potential health risk for those who are inlerance or allergic.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued a national warning that warns consumers with allergies to avoid consuming the product.
FSA’s risk expression says: “This product contains milk and can contain hazelnuts (pistachios), peanuts and soybeans, allergies or intolerance to milk or milk components, a possible health risk and/or hazelnut (pistol) and/or peanut and/or soy allergy allergy.”
For shoppers, Spanish product information and collective codes are recommended to control the L5123, L5127, L5128, L5129, L5141 and L5142 for 10x35ml multip packages on the best date before 05/2027.
Supermarkets, while placing in -store recall notifications to inform the customers about the problem, Unilever published an apology and announced that no other wall product was affected.
Unilever said in a statement, “We apologize for the discomfort and thank you for your cooperation.”
