The Union Public Service Commission conducts the UPSC Public Services Exam (CSE), one of India’s leading and competitive exams. Kanishak Kataria, born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, completed his computer science degree from IIT Bombay. According to various media reports, Kanishak ranked 44th in IIt Jee. His career started immediately and a major contract was given by Samsung in South Korea. Although Kanishak organized a desired task, his real goal was to be an Indian administrative service (IAS) officer.

Kanishak Kataria decided to go to Kota to continue the UPSC exam after spent a few months in a coaching center in Delhi.

Kanishak, an IAS officer and Rajasthan Social Justice and Strengthening Department Director Sanwar Malma’dan inspired by Verma’dan after his father’s footprints and decided to follow the passion of public service.

Kanishak left his work in 2017 and returned to Jaipur to break the public services exam. Kanishak Kataria took the UPSC exam with great dedication and concentrated work and received 1 rank of India (AIR) in the first attempt.

In relation to the result of the UPSC Public Services Network, he chose mathematics as the optional subject and passed the exam with flying colors.

Kanishak Kataria received 942 points in the written exam. The score in the personality test was 179. It received 1121 out of 2025 points.

In June 2024, IAS Kanishak Kataria was appointed as a joint secretary at the Ministry of Personnel (DOP) of the Rajasthan Government. X (formerly called Twitter) shared a task, “CEO Zila Parishad joined the Government Secretary as the Ministry of Personnel (A-1) after a wonderful and enriching experience as Alwar.
