Mega Job Mela In Huzurnagar On Oct. 25

Nalgonda: Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday announced that a grand job mela will be organized at Vignan School and Swarnavedika Function Hall in Huzurnagar on October 25, aimed at providing large-scale employment opportunities to unemployed youth of erstwhile Nalgonda district.
Uttam Kumar Reddy, who oversaw the arrangements at the venue, said the event was organized under the direct supervision of the state government as part of its commitment to fight unemployment. He said more than 205 companies have registered to participate so far and more than 9,500 candidates have registered for the fair so far. The numbers are expected to increase further in the coming days.
The job mela is being organized in collaboration with Telangana Digital Employment Exchange (DEET) and Singareni Collieries, with the participation of various private sectors who have agreed to recruit through the event.
Saying that unemployment is the biggest challenge, the minister said the Congress government has already completed 70,000 to 75,000 job appointments and recently delivered Group 1 and Group 2 appointment letters through Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. He added that the recruitment of licensed researchers is also on the way.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said he personally invited major companies and ensured participation of industries in Nalgonda district. Many have approved hiring based on current vacancies in their industry. Underlining the gap between job opportunities between urban and rural youth, the minister urged rural aspirants to register and participate in melas in large numbers. He said the event was designed to serve as a platform for talented youth in the villages who have been waiting for suitable job opportunities for a long time.
Addressing Congress leaders and workers, he called for efforts in mission mode to ensure maximum participation across the region. “This is not just a recruitment campaign, but a purposeful initiative to bring hope to families who have invested heavily in education,” he said. Uttam Kumar Reddy added that the job mela represents the government’s broader objective of linking education with employment and creating equal opportunities for all sections of society.
