Earlier this month, the Duchess also announced her departure from Netflix, allowing her to take full control of the As Ever jam brand – just months after the streaming giant dropped the lifestyle show amid brutal criticism from critics.

The Duchess of Sussex announced a partnership with the company a year ago when she commissioned a new season of her show, With Love, Meghan.

As part of this deal, Netflix acquired a stake in the As Ever brand, which includes jam, rosé wine and candied flowers.

But following the split, Netflix was allegedly left with a massive $10 million surplus from unsold products, including tea and baking mixes.

It was also said in Hollywood entertainment book Variety that Netflix was done with Harry and Meghan.

“Netflix’s perception of selling repackaged versions of the same story about the Sussexes’ exit from royal life has exhausted Netflix,” the magazine says.

The article, purportedly sourced from half a dozen well-placed individuals, goes on to claim: ‘Their partnership may continue to dwindle, and with it Meghan and Harry’s remaining showbiz lifeline.’

In the Instagram post announcing the new partnership, Meghan can be seen sweetly wrapping her hands around Lilibet’s.

The Duchess wrote the following note in her post: ‘Something is blooming. A new collaboration with @highcampgardenias is coming tomorrow.’

The launch is planned for 9pm PT in the UK on Wednesday, March 18, or 5am the following day.

The brand Meghan has partnered with, High Camp, is a luxury retailer specializing in custom floral arrangements. Founded by Susan Hanson in 2014.

The company, which ships California-grown gardenias to customers’ doors, is popular with celebrities and featured in publications such as Vanity Fair.

Flower arrangements advertised on the website cost up to $1,150, with the cheapest options starting at $200.

On the same day Meghan announced her new collaboration, Hollywood Bible Variety published a brutal feature about the Sussex couple’s ‘$45 million deal’ with Netflix.

Quoting dozens of well-placed people, the publication said the partnership was ‘far from a fairy tale’.

The magazine claimed that its “perceived pattern of selling repackaged versions of the same story about the Sussexes’ exit from royal life has exhausted Netflix.”

‘Their partnership may continue to wane and with it will be Meghan and Harry’s remaining showbiz lifeline.’

One source was quoted as saying: ‘The mood in the building is ‘We’re done’.’

Variety claimed the couple’s ‘bedside manner was ruffling feathers at meetings’, despite ratings for Sussex’s Archewell Productions shows remaining ‘lackluster’.

According to Variety, Netflix paid around £45 million for a five-year deal with the Sussexes but was ‘pissed off’ by the couple’s decision to give Oprah Winfrey a tell-all interview after leaving the Royal Family.

The company was also said to have been ‘blindsided once again’ by Harry’s decision to publish his memoir Spare, details of which were ‘downplayed’ by Meghan.

The magazine suggested that executives thought both projects influenced Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary.

But a spokesperson for the Sussexes insists they cooperated with Netflix from start to finish.
