Meghan loses TENTH spin chief in five years as ex-Netflix worker resigns after just three months: ‘She’s not a quitter, things must have been pretty horrible,’ friend tells ALISON BOSHOFF

The Duchess of Sussex has left her tenth streamer in just five years, after a big name she poached from Netflix left after just three months.

Emily Robinson joined Harry and Meghan’s team as communications director in June, but has already jumped ship.

Ms Robinson has always been a controversial hire, having worked for years at The Crown, where a number of damaging narratives about the Royal Family have been published.

The latest series featured scenes of Princess Diana’s ‘ghost’ speaking to the Queen and Prince Charles, which many found insensitive.

A friend of Robinson, who lives in Los Angeles and gained fame as a ‘tough cookie’ on Netflix, said: ‘It was his decision. He left a few weeks ago. He’s not a quitter, so it would have to be pretty scary for him to leave.’

Ms Robinson’s LinkedIn profile does not contain any reference to her currently working with the couple, but does list other roles she has held.

Ms Robinson becomes at least the tenth journalist to leave the job since Meghan and Harry left the UK for California five years ago (although two former journalists, James Holt and Miranda Barbot, have been promoted to non-PR roles).

Their team includes European communications director Liam Maguire and communications chief Meredith Maines.

Meghan Markle, pictured last week, has left her tenth publicist, just five years after Emily Robinson’s resignation.

This summer they met the King’s press secretary, Tobyn Andreae; This is thought to have paved the way for Prince Harry to see his father briefly last month.

The couple have endured several public relations disasters, most recently the duchess’s surprise trip to Paris Fashion Week.

He posted a video on Instagram showing himself being driven across the River Seine at night; it was a similar route to the one taken by Princess Diana the night she died.

There was also criticism about her appearance at Fortune magazine’s Most Powerful Women event in Washington last week.

In February, Vanity Fair had an unpleasant cover story that claimed: ‘The person working on media projects had read stories in the tabloids about Meghan ‘bullying’ palace aides and could not imagine such behavior actually occurring.

But after working with him, this person realized: “Oh, this happened on any other Tuesday.” The Sussexes responded with an article in People magazine in which a number of employees confirmed their kindness.

Another striking development was an article in The Hollywood Reporter last September that quoted a source as saying: ‘Everyone is afraid of Meghan. He belittles people and does not listen to advice. Harry is a very, very attractive person – not at all cool – but very enabling. And he really sucks.’

Another source added: ‘She walks around like a dictator in high heels. I’ve seen you reduce grown men to tears.’

Some sources say Ms Maines is currently going through a ‘difficult’ time as the couple’s communications officer.

A spokesman for the couple said: ‘Ms Robinson oversaw project-based work and additional support to the production company for a very successful season of With Love, Meghan.

‘He did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success.’
