Meghan Markle brutally mocked for charity speech after bombshell claim | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has been mocked by fans online after a new book claims she mentioned herself at least fifty times during a charity speech she allegedly “spoofed” after leaving the Royal Family. New quotes serialized by Times In Tom Bower’s upcoming new book, Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family, the magazine sees the author talking about Meghan Markle’s major charity speech at the One Young World Summit in 2022.
Mr Bower claimed organizers were stunned after Meghan made a charity speech about herself and allegedly said “I” more than fifty times in 10 minutes. The author claims: “In the countdown to the big moment, Ella Robertson read Meghan Markle’s proposed pitch on Autocue. ‘She did it,’ Robertson moaned.”
“Instead of talking about the charity One Young World, Meghan’s speech focused on herself. She intended to say ‘I’ almost fifty times in just ten minutes.”
Many fans found the claim hilarious and mocked the Duchess on social media.
One user wrote: reddit: “He’s so in love with himself it’s disturbing.”
Another said: “And pauses for admiration! I watched [the video of Meghan’s speech] “It has no voice, it’s so fake.”
A third said: “Watching this without sound shows how drunk he is with his own ego during this conversation.”
A fourth added: “She was flying high during this conversation. So dramatic.”
The fifth said: “Too many words to say anything!”
The Sussexes denied Mr Bower’s claims and a spokesman for the couple said: “Mr Bower’s comments have already crossed the line from criticism to obsession.
“This is someone who has openly stated that ‘the monarchy is essentially committed to erasing the Sussexes from our living situation’.
“He made a career out of building increasingly elaborate theories about people he didn’t know and had never met.
“Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those looking for deranged plotting and melodrama know exactly where to find it.”
