Meghan Markle has ‘no business judging’ after cooking video resurfaces | Royal | News

The 44-year-old mother-of-two recently appeared as a surprise guest judge on MasterChef Australia, after it was confirmed she would appear on the popular cooking show on Channel 10 earlier this week.

She entered the kitchen after the footage was recorded during her visit to Australia with Prince Harry in April.

Meghan has established herself as a cooking enthusiast with her lifestyle and cooking brand As Ever, which officially launched in April 2025. He also showed off his culinary skills on Netflix shows.

But viewers were quick to point out that Meghan was struggling in the kitchen; some suggested she had “no business” judging others on the show.

In the resurfaced footage, the mother of two can be seen struggling to chop onions while cooking in her California kitchen.

Another person said: “One of many reminders of why Meghan has no business judging anyone’s food #MasterchefAU.”

A third person added: “The cutting board shouldn’t be this crowded to begin with; it just sucks.”

“No one can hold a knife like that to chop vegetables. This is extremely embarrassing,” a fourth person wrote. This follows reports suggesting that Meghan and members of her team were unhappy following claims that they asked MasterChef Australia producers not to describe her as ‘royalty’ after the show’s main judge Poh Ling introduced herself.

According to New Idea, the entrance left Poh feeling ‘sad’.

“It wasn’t about Meghan personally,” a source told the publication. “Poh felt inadvertently drawn into a matter of royal protocol that she never intended to be a part of.”

Another insider claimed that Poh wanted to contact Meghan directly to apologize but was instead told to let the production team handle the situation.

“He was willing to reach out immediately,” the source said. “But he was advised to leave it for production to handle.”
