Meghan Markle has ‘no plans’ to see estranged father, report claims
Reports claimed that the Duchess of Sussex has no intention of seeing her estranged father and has given up hope of reconciliation.
Earlier this week, Meghan reportedly reached out to her father, Thomas Markle, who is currently being treated in a hospital in the Philippines after his leg was amputated.
The Duchess is said to have written him a letter but does not plan to see him. Times reported.
The newspaper claimed the letter contained Meghan’s feelings about Mr Markle’s participation in various media interviews and reported that she had not had any contact with her father after sending the letter.
He also stated that he did not call his father for fear that their phone conversation would be overheard, and that media interviews were the main reason why they were unlikely to reconcile.
The couple have been estranged since the wedding after Mr Markle admitted posing for paparazzi photos and then said he would not attend the wedding due to health problems.
Earlier this week, a spokesman for the duchess said: Daily Mail He was accused of violating “clear ethical boundaries” by reporting from his hospital bedside.
His spokesman said in a statement: “Accordingly, Daily Mail Although the reporter remained at her father’s bedside throughout, broadcasting every interaction and violating clear ethical boundaries, it has been extremely difficult for the duchess to communicate with her father privately, despite her efforts over the past few days.

The couple has filed multiple lawsuits against media outlets since 2019 as part of what Harry calls a mission for truth and accountability after decades of media intrusion into his life.
In his latest case, Harry and six others, including singer Elton John, are suing Daily Mail Publisher Associated Newspapers has been sued over alleged illegal information collection dating back 30 years.
The trial will begin in early 2026.
