Meghan Markle ‘horrified’ after receiving update on Australia trip | Royal | News

One of these engagements is a £1,440-per-person, women-only event in Sydney where Meghan will be interviewed on stage. VIP tickets for the event, running from 17-19 April, cost AU$3,199 (£1,700) and offer front-row seats at the gala dinner and a group photo with Meghan.

But an email leak about Meghan’s attendance has left the duchess “unable to sleep”, according to reports.

A source told The Australian magazine: New Idea: “She was horrified when news broke that she would be appearing at a women’s shelter in Sydney ahead of the official announcement.

“He likes to be in control, and the chaotic announcement of his arrival was not flashy at all.”

The source added: “While a leak about the trip wouldn’t be the end of the world, Meghan is losing sleep wondering what else might be revealed about her and Harry’s special relationship.”

Meghan’s attendance was announced by Her Best Life podcast host Gemma O’Neill, who organized the event.

It is understood that Harry and Meghan’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will not attend this trip with them.

A spokesman for the couple said: “Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will visit Australia to attend a number of private, business and charity events.

“Further details will be shared in due course.”
