Meghan Markle’s complaints about royal life are ‘tasteless’ | Royal | News

Meghan Markle’s previous complaints about royal life were criticized by one royal commentator as not being in “taste”. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, opened up about her authentic self in an interview with Bloomberg just months ago.
She later complained that she felt “unreal” having to wear pantyhose, also known as nude tights, while she was a member of the Royal Family. Speaking in the interview, she said: “It was different a few years ago when I wasn’t as vocal and had to wear nude pantyhose (tights) all the time.
“Let’s be honest, that wasn’t my cup of tea. It felt a little unreal.”
The royal commentator said mentioning pantyhose was not necessarily a “tasteful” complaint when discussing her feelings during her time as a royal.
Talking about the Royal Family being more emotionally open than ever The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, commenter Samara Gill told Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson: “There are tasteful ways to do it (sharing feelings).
“I probably wouldn’t recommend the juxtaposition of Meghan going on Bloomberg and saying it’s really hard living in the Royal Family because she has to wear pantyhose.”
This comment about pantyhose isn’t the only complaint Meghan has made about royal life.
The duchess has also complained in the past about the lack of support she receives due to the difficulties she faces while working as a royal.
Speaking to Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Meghan said: “But after we got married, things started to get worse and I realized that not only was I not protected, but they (the ‘Institution’) were willing to lie to protect other members of the family.”
She also claimed in the 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan that she would only wear certain colors of clothing to avoid overshadowing a more senior member of the Royal Family.
