Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland was spotted at a star-studded event last week, but her daughter was nowhere in sight. Doria, 69, was one of many guests who attended the Raising Eyebrows book launch with Anastasia Soare and Oprah in Los Angeles last week.

Wearing a long black skirt and red blouse, Doria was all smiles at the event, which was attended by many of Meghan’s friends. This included Oprah Winfrey and Jamie Kern Lima. The Duchess of Sussex’s mother posed for photos throughout the night and many noticed how close she looked to Oprah.

Royal fans also expressed their joy at seeing Doria, who doesn’t often attend star-studded public events.

It is unknown why Meghan Markle herself was not at the event.

Taking to X to talk about Doria’s appearance at the event, one X user wrote: “Aaahhh this warms my heart, I love seeing Mama Doria. She is such a graceful, peaceful, gorgeous woman!”

Another said: “Megan Markle’s mom is so beautiful!”
