Megyn Kelly: I’m supposed to feel sorry for Alex Pretti – but I don’t

Megyn Kelly says she has no sympathy for a protester who was shot and killed by federal agents during an anti-immigration protest in Minneapolis.
‘I know I should feel sorry for Alex Pretti, but I don’t. Do you know why I didn’t get shot by Border Patrol this weekend? For keeping my ass in and out of operations,” the former Fox host said on his podcast.
Kelly added that if she decided to join a protest, ‘I would do it peacefully on the sidewalk, without intervening, because intervening is where you go south.’
He told Border Patrol agents that ‘laying hands is now a crime’ and warned there was a ‘serious problem if you do anything resembling resistance’.
Pretti, a 37-year-old VA nurse, was seen recording the agents on her phone and intervened after an agent pushed a woman to the ground.
He was pepper sprayed and tackled to the ground by a half-dozen agents who grappled with him while he was on the ground.
Pretti was shot ten times after his licensed pistol was removed from his waistband.
In a separate post on X, Kelly said: ‘He was an agitator. He had gotten into a physical confrontation with the Feds a week earlier. Yet he returned and involved himself in a law enforcement operation. FAFO [f*** around and find out].

Pretti, 37, was shot and killed by a Border Patrol agent during an immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis on Saturday.
‘As for me, I have great compassion for the innocent Americans who have been murdered, raped and harassed by vigilantes. Where are your tears for them?’
It was revealed Tuesday that Pretti suffered a broken rib in a fight with federal agents a week before he was shot to death.
The alleged altercation occurred after Pretti stopped his car after seeing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers chasing a family on foot, a witness told CNN.
Pretti allegedly began yelling and whistling and was then tackled to the ground by five agents. The source claimed an officer leaned on his back, causing his ribs to break.
It was reported that the intensive care nurse who allegedly ‘thought she was going to die’ was released at the scene, but allegedly remained on the radar of federal agents.
According to documents obtained by CNN, agents assigned to Minneapolis were instructed earlier this month to “capture all images, license plates, IDs and general information about hotels, agitators and protesters.”
Federal officials appear to have withheld documented details about Pretti, but it’s unclear when they first began gathering information about him.
On Tuesday, Donald Trump said Pretti should not have carried a gun during the protest.
Pretti, 37, was shot and killed by a border patrol officer in Minneapolis on Saturday after struggling with agents.
When asked if he would label Pretti an “assassin,” as the White House Deputy Chief of Staff put it, Trump disagreed but added: “You can’t have a gun.” You cannot enter with a gun. You can’t. ‘You can’t come in with guns.’
Minister On Monday, he scolded Homeland Security Secretary Krisi Noem as she parachuted her longtime rival Tom Homan into Minnesota to lead a worsening immigration crackdown.
According to reports, Trump was disappointed that Noem branded Pretti a “domestic terrorist” at a press conference following the attack.
The Homeland chief was grilled by Trump over his remarks at a meeting in the Oval Office late Sunday, attended by White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
Now Noem has been sent to guard the Southern Border, away from the administration’s inland immigration enforcement operations.
But his job appears to be secure despite calls for his resignation from top Democrats, including Sen. John Fetterman, a staunch supporter of Trump’s immigration policy.
While House Democrats on Capitol Hill launched an investigation into Noem, 140 members of the party also co-sponsored the impeachment resolution.
Republican lawmakers, including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Kentucky Rep. James Comer, also expressed concern that Noem’s crackdown on immigrants in Minnesota may have gotten out of hand.

The Secretary of Homeland Security suffered a dramatic loss of confidence following the shooting deaths of Pretti and anti-ICE protester Renee Good on Jan. 7.
The latest Daily Mail/JL Partners poll finds Noem with a paltry 33 percent approval rating; that rate was 37 percent before the shootings last month.
According to the latest Daily Mail/JL Partners poll, his disapproval rating rose to 41 percent, up from 37 percent in December.
Nearly half of those polled, 46 percent, believe Noem should be impeached. 42 percent say President Donald Trump should fire him.
The poll was conducted Jan. 26 among more than 1,000 registered voters with a margin of error of 3.1 percent.
