Melania Trump and humanoid robot figure 03 make history at White House

First Lady Melania Trump was accompanied by a walking, talking humanoid as she met with her counterparts at a children’s technology summit at the White House on Wednesday.
The robot accompanied Trump on the final day of the Powering the Future Together global initiative, which focuses on the role of artificial intelligence and education.
Officials from nine countries, including the United States, France, Poland, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco, presented national strategies for integrating technology into education systems.

“The future of artificial intelligence is personalized,” the First Lady said. “It will form in human form. Very soon, artificial intelligence will transition to humanoid robots that benefit from our cell phones. Because our environment is designed for humans, humanoid systems are uniquely suited to navigate and work in our world. They adapt well.”
“‘Imagine a humanoid educator named Plato,'” he added. “Access to classical works is now instant – literature, science, art, philosophy, mathematics and history – the entirety of Humanity’s knowledge is available from the comfort of your home.”
After Trump and the humanoid walked side by side in the East Room of the White House, the robot wandered around a table of panelists.

“Thank you, First Lady Melania Trump, for inviting me to the White House,” the message said. “It is an honor to be at the launch meeting of the global coalition of Supporting the Future Together.”
“I am Figure 03, a humanoid made for the United States of America,” he continued. “I am grateful to be a part of this historic movement to empower children with technology and education.”
He then made similar greetings in 10 languages and thanked everyone before walking the red carpet.
The robot was introduced in October by Figure AI, a robotics startup based in Sunnyvale, California.
