Melania’s body language says it all in 5 moves during Epstein speech | World | News

A body language expert has revealed five moves Melania Trump made during her bombshell speech in Washington, where she angrily denied any connection to disgraced pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. In a speech at the White House, the American first lady denied ties to Epstein and knowledge of his sex crimes, said “the stories are completely false” and called accusations that she was somehow involved “a smear against me.”
Reading an extraordinary statement, Melania said she and her lawyers were fighting “baseless and baseless lies” about her connections to the late financier, a convicted sex offender who used his connections with the rich, powerful and famous to recruit his victims and cover up his crimes. Melania talked about her husband Donald Trump several times in the comments. She said Epstein did not introduce her to Trump and that she met her future husband at a party in New York in 1998.
TV body language expert and author Judi James told the Express that Melania made five gestures during her speech that made her intentions clear.
The first sign Ms. James noticed, with the cameras rolling, was Melania stepping onto the podium with an entrance walk that was very different from her normal style. Ms. James observed: “His entrance walk is almost like a walk, as opposed to his normal, elegant ‘catwalk’ style. His dark gray suit, with its sharp tailoring and padded shoulders, gives a look reminiscent of the ‘boardroom’ pose in the official White House portrait and suggests a desire to appear determined and businesslike.”
Noting Melania’s next move, Ms James added: “She stands with her elbows slightly apart from her torso, creating a partial nudity that signals confidence.
“There is a sense of personal determination in Melania’s short speech here, firm by her normal standards, emphatic and delivered with strength, purpose and authority.”
As the First Lady begins to explain, she gives a third sign.
“He addresses the room with a fixed gaze and a square jaw for the smileless greeting of ‘Have a good day,’” Ms. James said.
“The word choice evokes anger and authority. ‘Shameful’ refers to Epstein and a ‘disrespectful’ approach.”
Going into the details of the conversation, Melania mentions Epstein’s ex, Ghislaine Maxwell; She then acted as something of a lady for the billionaire, helping him and his friends find girls for sex.
Ms James said at this stage a fourth body clue emerged. She said: “When she denies her relationship with Maxwell, she pauses and looks up to show her eyes rather than looking down as a ritual of cutting.
“He delivers his words slowly and emphatically, making them sound carefully chosen and heartfelt.”
When Melania finally finished her shock speech, Ms. James said she gave her fifth final signal to convey her message.
He added: “Finally, he looks up again, fixes the room with a brief but powerful fixed gaze, purses his lips to say something that sounds like anger before saying ‘Thank you’ and turning on his heel, he quickly walks out of the room again.”
