Im I am ready to continue to talk.
“As I mentioned clearly last week, the decision to continue the strike action by your committee in the last five days was deeply disappointed, considering the promising debates that we had to explore the areas where we could make significant improvements in their working lives.
“After a comprehensive participation with both of you, my letter to your committee has summarized a way to accept a package that could end this dispute.
“If you and your committee had not hurried to strike, I wanted to work together to improve your members’ working life.”
Mr. Streeting accepted a second dispute by BMA on the lack of educational places for doctors, but he said that it could be “prevented”.
He continued: “The results of your strike action, NHS leaders and step -by -step staff had not been a harmful effect on patients, members, colleagues and NHS.
“Your action is self -renewing, because you have thrown the important honor with me and this government.
“I can’t allow patients or other NHS personnel to pay the price for the cost of your decision.”
He reiterated that the government cannot “pay wages ,, but“ ready to negotiate in areas related to the conditions, career progress in your workplace, and in areas related to concrete measures that will put money in your members’ pockets ”.
Mr. Streeting added: “My door remains open to the hope that we can make a partnership with local doctors when I came a year ago, and I am happy to meet you in the early hours next week with this spirit.”
In a statement, the co -presidents of the committee said: “Settled doctors want this to be the last strike. We want Mr. Streeting to leave behind the political discourse and put NHS the future.
“If he had made a reliable offer instead of what we had last week, he could have prevented the strike action: more interview proposal. Now it’s time to become serious.
“We are happy to hear that Mr. Streeting is open to new talks. Let them count them.”
As a result, the postponed appointment, procedures and number of operations are expected to be published this week.
