Met Office issues yellow warning of fog as Brits warned of ‘travel chaos’ | Weather | News

The Met Office has issued a yellow fog warning for many parts of England. The Met Office shared that the nine-hour yellow warning will be in effect from Saturday night until Sunday morning.
Unstable conditions are likely to cause travel chaos and the possibility of flight cancellations, according to the National Weather Agency. The following statements were made in the statement: “On Saturday night and early Sunday morning, fog areas will spread over a fairly wide area and will be concentrated in places that cause difficult travel conditions. Visibility will increase from west to east throughout the night, and the fog will clear from most areas by dawn on Sunday.”
Dense fog in some areas on Saturday night could cause serious travel disruptions. The Met Office has advised Brits to be prepared for slower journey times as visibility will be reduced and transport services may be affected.
There may be delays in bus and train services, and flights may be delayed or canceled due to bad conditions.
The statement said: “If you are planning to travel, allow extra time for your journey and check updates from transportation providers before you set off.”
Drivers were asked to turn on their fog lights and check whether they are working before setting off.
