Heritage-listed General Post Office hits the market for the first time

Brisbane’s general post office listed with inheritance will market for the first time in 1872 because it was aimed at the purpose of the colonial Australian postal company.

Although property will remain in today’s Australian position, the state’s company will look for expressions of interest for a 99 -year rent for Queen Street building.

Australian Post Chief Finance Director Michael Bradburn, a post office will remain on the field, he said.

However, the physical position within the building will form part of the negotiations for leasing to the Australian Post.

“Brisbane GPO is a turning point, but the post office covers a very small part of the site, Brad said Bradburn.

“By offering a rental, we have the opportunity to re -invest in our network and provide fast and reliable deliveries to support business growth to our E -commerce customers.

“This long -term rental offers an ideal opportunity to revive an iconic Brisbane turning point and create a successful zone before the 2032 Olympic games. We are proud of our commitment to the Brisbane community and we plan to protect a post office in this place.”
