BENGALS’ JOE BURROW MADE A STATEMENT ABOUT HOME THEFT, ANNOUNCED THAT HE WAS PUTTING A MAJOR PURCHASE ON HOLD AFTER RELEASE
In the NFL, the homes of quarterbacks Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals and Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs were broken into last season. Mahomes’ Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce also trespassed while at the game the same day as the quarterback.
Burrow discussed the break-in during Netflix’s docuseries “Quarterback.”
“Of course, this just happened to me,” Burrow said on the show. “When you’re on cloud nine, something’s going to bring you right down. I felt like it was just that kind of year.”

“There are certain parts of your life that are your own. Your home is one of them,” Burrow continued. “When that’s breached, people find out where you live, all these different things. Not everyone’s failures at work are exposed to the world. It’s a very delicate position. I put myself in this situation because I love it. Um, I don’t like the other part of it.”
Four Chilean citizens were arrested in the theft, and authorities released a photo of them posing with stolen accessories.
Burrow told then-Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo that the thieves “stole all my jewelry, but they could have stolen a lot worse things than that.”
