The Australian dollar recently rallied strongly against the yen, pushing it to its strongest position in nearly 20 years.

The Australian dollar is strong, buying 100 yen, but our currency is currently higher than that, buying 106 yen. This is because official interest rates in Japan are very low; only 0.75%.
