Miami zoo tortoise turns 135 and celebrates his first Father’s Day – National

The oldest resident of a Southern Florida Zoo celebrating his birthday and the first Father’s Day on Sunday.

According to Goliath’s official record, between 1885 and 1890, on June 15, he eggs on the island of Santa Cruz in Galapagos. The island group is located near the Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean, a hundred miles west of the mainland Ecuador.

Goliath came to the Bronx Zoo in 1929 and moved to Zoo Miami in 1981. Zoo was raised with several different teeth during his time in Miami, but he never pulled a puppy. Sweet Pea, the mother of the new incubation, is estimated to be between 85 and 100 years old.
