Michael Steele Says Republicans ‘Don’t Care’ About Election Results Because They Have ‘Plan B’ to Get ‘Ultimate Control’
MSNBC’s Michael Steele He explained that Republicans don’t care about Tuesday’s election results because they have a “Plan B” to gain “ultimate control.”
During MSNBC’s Tuesday night election coverage, Steel celebrated Democrats’ victories, including Abigail Spanberger He won Virginia’s race for governor against Republican Lt. Gov. Lovely Earle-SearsBut he warned that Republicans would ignore the election results and use intimidation tactics to win in the future.
Representative Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) also won New Jersey’s race for governor. Meanwhile Democrat Zohran Mamdani Won mayoral race of New York City against former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa.
“That’s the side of the Republican Party, you can’t miss it. The reason they don’t care, or they don’t seem to care, is because they have a Plan B. And the Plan B is the state election offices that they control now, which are running operations that go 26 to make sure that not only the poll watchers and poll watchers, but they have their finger in the system to some degree,” said Steele, the former chairman of the Republican National Committee.
He argued that despite Democrats’ successes on Tuesday, Republicans had a plan to seize “ultimate control.” But he declared Tuesday was “a good night” for Democrats.
“You can’t miss that side of this equation about how they gained ultimate control and, of course, all the other things that lead to and fuel these various narratives. Tonight is a good night for Democrats. Tonight is a good night for the country in the sense that you have the ability to go out and vote and participate in the system as you should.”
