Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella earns almost a whopping $100 million in FY25 — What fueled the hike?
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s compensation rises to $96.5 million for fiscal 2025; This marked its highest earnings since taking over a decade ago, with the board attributing the increase to the company’s advances in artificial intelligence.
“The results show that Satya Nadella and his leadership team are positioning Microsoft as a clear AI leader in this generation of technology change,” Bloomberg said, referring to the board compensation committee’s memo to shareholders.
Almost 90 percent of Nadella’s $2.5 million salary consists of Microsoft shares. It earned $79.1 million last fiscal year. Nadella has served as Microsoft’s CEO since 2014 and is the third person to hold the post.
Nadella’s top aides also received higher compensation. Chief Financial Officer Amy Hood’s total compensation was $29.5 million, and Judson Althoff, who was recently promoted to lead Microsoft’s business affairs, received a $28.2 million package.
