Migrant deportations LIVE: First flight to take off today under UK-France deal | Politics | News

A Labor Party deputy Sir Keir said Starmer’s “right to change” immediately “will go to the next May”.
Richard Burgon to the left of the party, BBC Radio 4’s Today program said: “Many deputies are looking at the elections next May, vision polls show that unfortunately will be a complete disaster.
“I think it is inevitable if May’s elections go as people predicted, and I think that the intellectual surveys will be foreseen, then I think Starmer will go at that time.
He continued: “Instead of a year, a newly saved government from the conservatives, it comes as we have entered a government that was not popular for years and years. We lose the votes on the left, we will lose seats on the right.
He said: “For the first time in the history of our country, we encounter a real threat – what I will see as a pro -excessive government – the Prime Minister’s duty to stop it. You can only deliver it for people who want real change, and if you can’t do it, of course, at the top will have to change.”
Leeds East Deputy added: “The Prime Minister needs to change the route immediately, otherwise I am sure that it has stopped in May.”
