Migrant protest LIVE: Pink Ladies take to London streets as they demand ‘protect us’ | UK | News

An all-female anti-immigration protest group calling themselves the ‘Pink Ladies’ will descend on east London today (Wednesday) to protest against the housing of asylum seekers in hotels. The group had previously marched from Parliament Square to Downing Street on October 1, calling on Sir Keir Starmer to make women’s safety a priority.
Demonstrators often dress head-to-toe in pink (which they say symbolizes hope), wave British and British flags and play loud music. The final protest today is expected to take place outside Tower Hamlets council offices on Whitechapel Road from 5pm. Tower Hamlets council runs the borough home for hotels housing asylum seekers, including the Britannia Hotel in Canary Wharf, where protests have previously been held.
The event was advertised on the ‘Restore Britain’ movement’s X account. The bright poster for the demonstration featured a drawing of women protesting with their fists in the air: “Protect us, protect our children; we will not be silenced.” The Pink Ladies’ marches had previously been met by counter-demonstrators from Stand Against Racism, who carried banners reading “Women against the far right”. They accused the Pink Ladies of “trying to spread racial hatred and separatism”.
