Line Of Duty’s Vicky McClure says she ‘can’t wait to go home’ as she finally wraps up filming on series seven after four months on set.
The 43-year-old actor shared a photo on Instagram with his co-stars Martin Compston (42) and Adrian Dunbar (67) on Saturday after the shooting ended.
‘And we’re off duty!! “I spent the last 4 months with my two best friends,” he wrote.
‘The wonderful cast and crew made every effort to bring the script to life…thank you. It’s home time now, so I can’t wait, I’ve missed my chance every day.’

Cast members Vicky, Martin and Adrian have filmed new scenes as AC-12, nearly five years after the anti-climactic sixth series divided audiences.
Fans were largely disappointed by the controversial ending, in which incompetent Det Supt Ian Buckells, played by Nigel Boyle, was unmasked as ‘H’, the shadowy criminal mastermind behind a complex network of police corruption.
But in recent weeks creator Jed Mercurio has given fans an idea of what they can expect from the seventh series.
Earlier this year, on Instagram, Jed shared a photo of Dunbar dressed in a police uniform, looking out into a crowded office as he prepared to film his final scenes as Commissioner Ted Hastings.
“There’s only one thing I care about and that’s bent coppers,” read an accompanying caption, one of Hastings’ best-known quotes.
The popular police drama was originally broadcast on BBC Two before moving to BBC One from its fourth series.
In February, it was revealed that BAFTA-winning star Robert Carlyle had been cast as guest character Detective Constable Shaun Massie.
The seventh series of Line Of Duty will follow the familiar faces of AC-12 after they are disbanded and rebranded as the Police Standards Inspectorate.

The anti-corruption unit will be seen working harder than ever as Steve Arnott, Kate Fleming and Ted Hastings are given their most sensitive cases yet.
The summary explains: ‘Detective Constable Shaun Massie is a Specialist Rifle Officer (SRO), an experienced marksman who works with Tactical Operations Unit 7 (TO-7) to disrupt Organized Crime Groups.
‘A grumpy loner, Massie keeps to himself, but when his boss, Detective Dominic Gough, commander of TO-7, is accused of being a sexual harasser, Massie’s otherwise aloof attitude changes drastically.’
The seventh episode of the Line Of Duty series is expected to be released in 2027.
